Arbutus Ridge Golf Club

Arbutus Ridge Golf Club on Vancouver Island is one of my favourite golf courses on the Island. Located in Cobble Hill just outside of Victoria,  Arbutus Ridge has been described as having a ‘great layout’, and ‘world-class views. However, for me what makes Arbutus Ridge a must play is the fact that you can play the course year round thanks to the warm winters that Sourthern Vancouver Island receives. We played a few rounds between Christmas and New Years one year, and that was extremely enjoyable (a true rarity for Canadian and BC Golf Courses).

Some Summer rounds at Arbutus Ridge can presently be booked on our website starting at $77/rd. Book your Arbutus Ridge Tee Time today.

Review – Harvest Golf Club, Kelowna

A week up in the Okanagan: picked cherries, sat on the beach, played one of the Okanagan’s best golf courses in the Harvest Golf Club … yes… it was a good vacation.

The Harvest Golf Club in East Kelowna has won numerous awards over the years. The golf was a little smokey, but then… so was the entire Okanagan Valley. At least that was what I was able to use as an excuse as my Okanagan golf game left a little to be desired.  The golf course on the other hand, was in fine condition.

I had hoped to spend a fair bit of time on the beach while in the Okanagan, but unfortunately, this also translated into my golf game. Harvest Golf Club features large undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. It would have been a great round of golf in my game was in better condition.

If you are looking to golf in the Okanagan, I would recommend the Harvest Golf Club. Stop in at the club house and browse from a wide selection. Make sure you speak with the staff, they are very knowledgeable and polite. Click here to book a tee time at Harvest Golf Club, Kelowna.

Okanagan Here I Come – Harvest Golf Club & Gallagher's Canyon look out

I am off to the BC Okanagan tomorrow, the land of great wine, sandy beaches, and some amazing BC Golf Courses. It appears as though these once hidden gems are starting to get discovered. Why just in the last few hours we facilitated Okanagan tee times for golfers from Palm Desert, Calgary, and as far away as Beijing, China.

I am not sure how much free time I will have, but I hope that I could at least take in one of Harvest Golf Club (Kelowna) or Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Course (Kelowna). I have not played either of these Okanagan Golf Courses previously, but I have heard great things about them.

Atlantic City Country Club, NJ

This Atlantic City Golf Club is filled with history. Established in 1897, the golf course is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf courses in North America. It is also the first golf course on which a ‘birdie’ was made in 1899. The Atlantic City Country Club is one of New Jersey’s best golf courses. In fact, Golf Week Magazine named the Atlantic City CC the number one public daily fee golf course in all of New Jersey.

Only recently, the golf course was opened to the public. The golf course offers great views of the Atlantic City and plays a challenging par 70, 6577 yards from the back tees. Summertime, off-peak rates are as low as $175. Book your Atlantic City tee time today.

Review – Furry Creek Golf Course, Vancouver BC

Furry Creek Golf Course is one of our favourite golf courses in BC. Perhaps it is the scenery, the glorious 14th hole, or simply the many memories of playing several rounds with the buddies there over the years. Whatever the case, Furry Creek Golf & Country Club is a must play when you are in Vancouver, or if you are looking for that scenic west coast of Canada golf experience. Furry Creek is located just 30 minutes north of Vancouver (just before Squamish) on the road to Whistler.

What makes Furry Creek so unique? It is probably summed up by the 14th hole in which you hit it out to a small spit, jutting out into the Pacific Ocean. If a gust doesn’t get you, it is likely to be one of the Fury Creek eagles (Brackendale Eagles) that catches you in mid swing. Furry Creek is reasonably priced and you get a lot of golf course for your money. Summer golf at Furry Creek starts at C$79/round. Book a tee time today.

Review of Brudenell Golf Course PEI

When I visited PEI last summer, I was blown away at the scenery, the shoreline, and the golf. There are so many great golf courses in PEI, it is hard to know where to start. One of the ones that we played was the Brudenell Golf Course at Brudenell River. Rates right now start at only $79 and with this amount, you feel like you get so much more of a golf course.

Golf Digest rated Brudenell River 4 stars and from the moment you tee off you can see why. And by the time you get to the second hole (an uphill par 4 that plays like a par 5), you realize that you are playing on a championship course. Many classify the Brudenell Golf Course as PEI’s best golf course. I would have to agree, though Dundarave, Brudenell’s sister golf course, is a close second.

Review – Tobiano Golf Course, Kamloops BC

Tobiano Golf Course, Kamloops BC

Tobiano Golf Course, Kamloops BC

Few golf courses across BC get as much acclaim as Tobiano in Kamloops BC.

Tobiano is set high upon bluffs overlooking Kamloops Lake, in the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia. Tobiano occupies one of the most spectacular, unpopulated lakeside sites in Western Canada, surrounded by the majestic interior mountains, rolling grasslands, and desert plains. Course highlights are vast with vistas of 10,000 year-old hoodoos and rugged Columbia and Cascade Mountains framed by expansive views of Kamloops Lake from each of the distinctive 18 holes. The combination of an almost entirely untouched landscape paired with sun baked hills, fragrant sagebrush and a seemingly-endless lake, make Tobiano Golf Course a one-of-a-kind, must-play course.

As noted by one of our golfers,

I have had the good fortune of playing golf coast to coast in this country and I have never played anything like this. True we are blessed with some spectacular courses, but there is nothing like this anywhere else in Canada.

Review – Eagle Ranch Golf Resort, Invermere, BC

The Eagle Ranch Golf Resort in Invermere BC has probably garnered more search and inquiries than any other golf course over the past few weeks. Though a BC Golf Course, most golfers booking through TeeTimes.net are Alberta-based golfers. And from what we have heard, Eagle Ranch Golf Course does not disappoint.
